SPHERE: System for Pharmacy Health Encounter Reporting and Evaluation
The System for Pharmacy Health Encounter Reporting and Evaluation (SPHERE) is a state-based pharmacy health information exchange developed by Seguridad in partnership with our colleagues at the Missouri Pharmacy Association.
The SPHERE platform facilitates the sharing of pharmacy dispensing and encounter data in a secure, standardized format. It enables pharmacies to easily report on patient outcomes. This is increasingly important with more community pharmacies offering direct-to-patient healthcare services.
The platform easily accepts data from industry-leading pharmacy management systems and clinical documentation platforms. This data is normalized and stored in a data warehouse able to be shared with a variety of stakeholders, like state governments or quality health information networks (QHIN). Transparent data governance is another essential core feature of SPHERE.
